How do we get this score?
This metric establishes a percentage-based effectiveness score using a weighted ranking system that considers the performance of BforeAI's disruption partners: VirusTotal, Google Safe Browsing (GSB), Spamhaus, and Quad9.
Each partner is assigned a specific weight based on their reach and disruption capabilities. For example, VirusTotal & GSB holds the highest weight at 27%, followed by Spamhaus and Quad9 at 18% then URLHauss at 9%.
The process to determine the effectiveness involves calculating both the maximum possible disruption score (i.e., if all partners successfully disrupt a threat) and the actual disruption score (i.e., the sum of weights of partners that disrupted the threat). The disruption percentage is then calculated by dividing the actual score by the maximum possible score and multiplying by 100.
This percentage is mapped into effectiveness ranges, with scores of 90-99% indicating High Disruption, 70-89% as Moderate Disruption, and 50-69% as Low Disruption. Scores below 50% indicate Minimal Disruption.
